Team System 2008 DB Functionality and Projects by Kristin Ferrier @ SQL Saturday 35 Dallas on 05/22/2010

Another in the series of recordings I have done for INETA Live.

Abstract:

With VSTS 2008 Database Edition or Suite, one has access to automated data generation, schema comparison, data comparison, and unit testing options. This is a surprise to many people, as VSTS and SQL Server have often just brought to mind source control. We'll cover the aformentioned features and review database projects.

Bio:

Programmer/BI Developer Kristin Ferrier has over a decade of SQL Server experience and is President of the Oklahoma City SQL Server Developers Group. A few years ago, Kristin became a Microsoft Certified Application Developer. In 2008, she won the INETA Community Champion award. With her passion for database development, she spent a few years focusing exclusively on BI development working on anything from SSAS cubes, the latest EDW project, to any project where she can be a key problem solver.
