Abstract:

Services Broker can be used to simplify messaging between applications and assist in asynchronous programming by queuing messages and/or events. this presentation will explain how to use the Service Broker services and discuss best practices. A case study will review an elegant way to maintain data across multiple servers and show how to reduce dependencies between related programs.

Bio:

Janis Griffin has over 20 years of DBA experience including design, development and implementation of many critical database applications. Before coming to Confio, Janis held DBA positions primarily in the Telecom Industry (15 yrs), working with both real-time network routing databases and OLTP business to business applications. Janis was also a Principal Architect and Senior Manager, mentoring other DBAs on best practices in database performance tuning.
